How to select the best AI tool in each category?
Straight from my experience, I would say that, honestly, there is no ‘best’ tool for everyone. Even if two people are standing in the same position, the definition of the ‘best’ tool will differ as per the specific need, budget, and usage. So, it is always better to try and test till you find ‘the one’ for you (avoid relying on word-of-mouth in this case). Obviously, you can take the advice and try (if it is free) but do not heavily depend on it.
What is the right process, then? Certain criteria must be kept in mind when you consider AI tools. For instance, I always test a tool by checking its user-friendliness, how much it can add to my workflow or a particular task, whether it can deliver what it has promised, or whether it is playing hide-and-seek with its paid plans.
The most important things that you cannot miss are accuracy, efficiency, and pricing (especially when you are into designing or transcribing meetings or your work). Reviews from famous YouTubers, bloggers, and even some content creators do help, but nothing can be more satisfying than a hands-on trial and check if it is worth giving a shot. It saves time (really it does), fulfills your needs, and doesn’t let you pull your hair out! Come, let’s explore them.
AI Search Engines
In 2025, AI Search Engines will truly be the most powerful tools. They make life easier with personalized searches and AI-driven algorithms. Want to understand things better or gain insights on a particular topic instantly? Search Engines like Perplexity, Andi, and Copilot are some of the ones I tried. Let’s dive into each and see which one actually matches your needs.
Perplexity
Perplexity AI is worth trying for researchers, content creators, and even professionals who are looking for quick and accurate information. Unlike other search engines that keep bombarding you with many links, this tool is great for getting clear and well-structured information with proper citations and is amazing for fact-checking. I even tried its pro version, which is actually quite useful for more accurate and advanced insights. Similar to ChatGPT, it has Spaces features that can help you organize files without wasting time. Also, it has a Discover feature to stay up-to-date with the topics based on your interest. So overall, it’s pretty good to get concise and accurate information.
The standard (free) plan allows unlimited free searches, with 3 pro searches per day and a capacity to upload 3 files/day. Whereas the Professional plan starts at $20/month (billed monthly). This includes 300+ pro searches/day, AI models to choose from - Deepseek R1, GPT-4 Omni, Claude 3 Sonnet, Sonar Large 32k, etc. If you want to use it for your business with less than 250 employees, you can leverage its Enterprise plan - $40/month/seat through a self-serve flow. For the latest updates and pricing, check here.
Copilot
I tried another powerful search engine by Microsoft, Copilot. It’s a solid assistant for the ones who are accessing Microsoft 365. Built into Microsoft Edge and Windows 11, the free version offers basic features and assistance for summarizing and writing a fresh piece of content. However, if your day starts and ends with Microsoft 365 tools, then upgrading to its pro version would be a great investment and access to its web versions of Microsoft 365 apps (without a separate Microsoft 365 subscription). It costs $20 per month per user. With a pro version and separate subscription plan to Microsoft 365 Family or Personal plan, you can easily access desktop apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, etc. Also, you can create AI images (100 boosts per day), and the best part is that you can get access to advanced models like GPT-4 Turbo for faster performance.
In case you are wondering if this pro plan would be worth investing time and money in, you can even try a one-month trial plan after paying the subscription. After its trial ends, you will be charged the same price every month unless you cancel it in your Microsoft account.
Andi
If you are someone who is just looking for a quick and direct answer with the relevant source and hates the traditional lists of answers (that often create confusion), then this is something you can test and experience. It uses generative AI and semantic search to understand the context behind the search query, and thus, it’s able to produce accurate and concise answers. Even though it does not handle complex questions, I really liked how it addresses the basic queries without any ads or privacy concerns. In fact, it maintains high privacy of a user and does not track any of their information. So, you can enjoy it freely with all its features and maximize its value!
AI Image Generators
Gone are the days when only designers could create designs for marketing, business, and everything across the board. With the help of AI, anybody, irrespective of their field, can create stunning designs for almost anything in just a few seconds! Here are some of the AI image generators that I found to be incredibly interesting!
Midjourney
This is a popular AI tool for generating artistic images. I was pretty impressed to see how it worked out and produced photorealistic images with my text prompts. At present, the web app is in the testing phase. Still, you can surely access it through Discord with fewer features like accessibility to different AI models, such as V6, and Niji, to generate images in various artistic styles, etc. One of the drawbacks is that its free plan is not currently available. You need to buy a premium plan to get started. It starts at $10/month. To learn more about it, click here.
DALL. E 3
This is getting traction these days! Powered by OpenAI, DALL. E 3 is one of the best text-to-image generators. Even though it does not provide accurate results like other tools, it still tries its best by overseeing minute details, texture layers, and lighting (accuracy is relative, so do not expect too much).
The most attractive part, which I genuinely loved about it, is its ability to understand the context behind human-written prompts, which is far better than other AI tools. Currently, it is only available for ChatGPT Plus and Microsoft Copilot users and for developers through APIs. (only available in a few versions of Copilot) Perhaps- no offense to the ones accessing the free version of ChatGPT.
Besides that, it is important to note that it is not a standalone application yet and cannot be accessed independently. Tap here to get a detailed overview of it.
Adobe Firefly
Adobe Firefly is seamlessly integrated within Adobe’s Creative Cloud. It is great for generating artistic and photorealistic images. It can create better images with a detailed prompt and even add text effects to it (if instructed). It has many adorable features like Generative Fill to remove or add objects, Generative Extend to resize images, and even a beta mode for creating videos. However, the only thing that has shaken my confidence is that it does not fully guarantee commercial rights for the images that it generates. However, as it is specially trained on Adobe stock and licensed images, it is generally safe to use but not copyright-free. You must check its usage policies before using them.
What about pricing? Yes, it is free with limited limits and offers a credit-based system for premium plans. Its basic plan, Firefly Standard, starts at $9.99 for 2,000 credits/month. If you want to access it via Photoshop, then the price is $19.99 per month (a total of 500 generative credits). If you are already a Photoshop subscriber, you are likely to get limited credits compared to standalone subscribers of Adobe Firefly, who get 2000 credits/month.
AI Content Generation
Content writing is no longer challenging. Whether you have writing skills or not, AI tools are here to write blogs, emails, and social media posts in just seconds! Just write a detailed prompt and see how it beautifully unfolds and saves you maximum time and energy to think, write, and cross-check. I texted a few AI tools in this niche; let’s explore.
Jasper AI
I found Jasper AI to be a great tool for content creation. It caters to multiple areas, such as blog posts, marketing copies, social media posts, etc., with its unique features, such as brand voice, knowledge assets, SEO mode, and instant campaigns. The most admirable aspect is that you can create or repurpose your content in 30+ languages with different AI models. Besides that, it also integrates well with Google Docs, Surfer SEO, Canva and Grammarly.
Even though it does not have a free plan as such, it does offer a 7-day free trial to understand if it is a right fit for your business. This trial is available for all premium plans except the Business plan (it does not ask for a credit card to sign up for its free trial, providing the freedom to genuinely test the platform).
The premium plan (Creator plan) starts at $49/month/seat (billed monthly), or if you are comfortable with annual billing, then the starting price is $39/month/seat. It also has Pro and Business plans. To learn more about it, it’s always better to visit its official website for discounts and the latest pricing as per your region.
Writesonic
Writersonic is a valuable AI resource for content writing. I was amazed to see its features AI article generation, site audit, writing styles- it offers limitless opportunities to make a content piece more intriguing and SEO-friendly! This is one of the best platforms that offer tailored plans for different needs.
For instance, if you are a freelancer or an individual content writer, the pricing is $ 49/month - billed monthly (or $39/month when billed annually). If you have a small team, it offers a Standard plan of $99/month billed monthly ($79/month when billed annually). Similarly, if you are an agency or SEO specialist, it offers a high-tier plan to cater to your requirements.
Unlike Jasper AI, it offers a free plan to experiment with without any subscription (with limited credits and features that may not include premium AI models). It has limited credits and features to check if it aligns with your needs.
Also, if you opt for its annual billing price, which starts at $39/month, you can use 2 months for free (this makes it more affordable). Here, it is also important to note that it uses a credit-based system to access advanced features and premium plans, which can affect its overall cost per usage.
Anyword
This is a unique platform for AI-based copywriting that focuses on data-driven content optimization, one of the tools that break the traditional copywriting barriers! It has powerful features like performance predictions, 100+ marketing templates and prompts, a Blog wizard with a built-in plagiarism checker, and a lot more, and thus is ideal for copywriters and marketers.
If you are looking to use a high-performing copy for your social media ads, then this tool can be your assistant that integrates A/B testing data into the writing process. When it comes to the pricing area, it offers a 7-day free trial with a strict limit of 2,500 words. This can help you experiment with its main capabilities. The premium plan ‘Starter’ is offered at $49/month - billed monthly (or $39/month when billed annually). For more information about pricing and discounts, visit here.
AI Video Editing
Long-form videos and campaigns are rolling up in the sky of digital marketing. At this point, having a few professional editors is like walking barefoot in the sticky mud. To hold your hands and speed up the game, AI-powered video editing tools are soaring high with great appreciation and value creation. So, let’s take a look at some of the stunning and versatile tools for video editing.
Runway
Runway is a remarkable tool as it offers varied AI tools like motion tracking, style transfer, and video inpainting to produce high-quality videos and images. With a sweet and simple interface for beginners, it also offers many export formats. It knocked my socks off when I experienced Gen-1 (video-to-video), Gen-2 (Text and Image to Video), and Gen-3 Alpha Turbo (Image to Video) in its free plan. Even though there are limitations to this, it is worth giving a try.
As said above, its free plan has limited features. It restricts the user to 3 video projects, limited credits, and a watermark. I know this can make you feel blue (even if I felt the same). But let’s move on. Its paid plan ‘Standard’ is offered at $15/month/user with 625 credits - billed monthly (or $12/month/user, which is currently billed annually at $144).
Here, it is important to note that it works on a credit-based system, so credit allocation is one of the factors when selecting a particular plan. To get a detailed insight into all its plans, visit here.
Synthesia
If AI avatars fascinate you, then you would enjoy working with Synthesia. It generates studio-quality video content by converting text into video. This tool gives you the power to customize avatars with a variety of templates. Not only this, you can swiftly switch the language, tone, and even background of the avatar that you are using. Synthesia offers a library of approximately 230 digital avatars and supports over 140 languages, which is actually something out of the box.
However, you can access these features only in higher-tier plans. Its basic ‘Starter’ plan costs $18/month - billed yearly (no option to pay monthly). It also has a free plan, which is not-so-valuable as it comes with limited features, a watermark, and a restriction of 3 minutes of video per month (not suited for robust video creation, just for experimentation, it’s good). To compare all the paid plans, visit here.
DaVinci Resolve
This is a top-grade video editing tool that I recommend to my friends. Whether you are a beginner or a professional editor, this tool has everything that you want on your plate. From visual effects, and audio production to HDR grading, LUT support—it has it all. It is so compelling that even film editors won’t mind using it. Even in terms of free plans, it is incredible! It offers 4k video export at 60 frames per second with no watermarks, no limitation on export resolution, or any hidden or forced upgrades. But yes, features are limited in the free version.
But the biggest drawback is that it requires high-performance GPU or RAM to access it, and the UI is not too smooth for beginners (both free and paid versions). The pricing for its paid studio version is $295. (One-time purchase to access forever). To learn more about it, visit here.
AI reels maker
Reels have given a different tangent to the digital world. Even though it is just a matter of a few seconds, the impact is huge. From businesses and freelancers to casual users, everybody has started leveraging its potential to boost organic growth and spread awareness. Let’s look at some of the powerful AI reel makers.
Descript
Descript is a powerful tool for video and audio editing and can produce high-quality reels for social media platforms. Its free plan is better than those that are just available for the sake of it. Some of its captivating features are a green screen to remove the background from any video instantly without the need to use complex chroma key editing and custom voice clones to make changes in the audio by simply typing it.
Even though a watermark is available, it is still better to experience and create something more interesting and rare. What about video exports? It supports up to 720p resolution in the free version, which is enough to experiment.
In terms of pricing plans, yes, the free plan has limited features (but better than the ones that hardly offer any nice features). Its premium plan, ‘Creator, ’ costs $35/per month/person - billed monthly for up to 3 people ($24/per month/person when billed annually).
This is a basic premium plan with features like dubbing in 20+ languages, watermark-free 4k exports, and a lot more. To get a comprehensive list of all plans, check its official website.
Invideo
Invideo is a nice AI platform for creating videos. It simplifies the complex process of video editing with powerful tools such as 2.5M+ standard media, which can be used to create basic reel edits as a background cover.
Then it offers 10GB storage, which is decent enough, 10 minutes/week to create full AI-based videos and use features like AI-generated scripts, and four exports/week with Invideo’s logo. This is fine for checking the functionality of the application and making a decision.
Whereas its premium plan offers voice clones, Generative credits, unlimited exports, and a lot more. It works on a credit-based system, and the basic premium plan, ‘Plus’ costs $35/month when billed monthly ($28/month billed at $336 yearly as per current 20% discount). To learn more about its pricing and recent updates, check its official website.
Zebracat
Zebracut gathers all the essentials required to create intriguing reels and then rolls them up in 80+ languages. With a blend of AI voices and visuals, it aims to produce realistic videos with a Brand Kit, character consistency, and many other premium features. Similar to other reel makers, the free plan comes with a watermark and limited features. But, as you run through it, it can shake things up, especially if you are into content creation or marketing.
Now, the question is: Is it worth trying its free plan? Yes, absolutely! You get 5 credits/week to create a 1-minute video in 720p resolution and, of course, a watermark! This is decent enough to experience it with its core ability.
If you wish to upgrade to its pro plans, it starts at $39/month - billed monthly (Priced at $19.5/ month, when billed yearly at $234 - due to a current discount). However, you also need to remember that this tool also works on a credit-based system, so you must consider that. To get in-depth insight into the pricing and benefits as per your region, visit here.
AI grammar checker
Not sure about grammatical skills, but I like writing? AI has got you the solution. With its grammar-checking tools, wear your creative hats and start pouring your heart out! And grammar check? AI will take the lead. Many popular tools like Grammarly are leading in this area. Before you begin, here’s a quick review of some of the tools.
Grammarly
Grammarly is one of the most popular tools that helps make your writing better and corrects the text. I sometimes use it to enhance the flow of my content. I simply love how it adds value effectively, even with its free version. Yes, some features are locked in it, like unlimited personalized suggestions, recommendations for fluency, and automatic detection of plagiarized and AI-written content. Nevertheless, the free version is great and valuable.
The best part is that you can easily integrate it into your writing with its free Chrome extension, which is quite helpful. I have seen many of my writer friends who are used to it for writing emails, copies, and even long-form content. Its premium plan starts at $30/month/member (billed monthly).
If you are more comfortable with annual billing, it charges $144 every year (this averages to $12/month). Also, to ease your finances, it offers a quarterly plan billed at $60 every quarter (this averages to $20/month). To get a detailed list of paid plans and their benefits as per your region, it is always wiser to check its official website.
Quillbot
Quillbot is one of the widely renowned tools for anybody who often second-guesses their grammar while sending important emails to the boss or hesitates to take on the challenge of writing something crucial, such as a proposal, report, or even a small social media post for a large brand. One of its powerful features is a grammar checker, which takes absolutely no pain or any charges to detect grammar mistakes in many languages like Spanish, German, English, and French endlessly, with certain limitations.
Just copy-paste or upload your not-so-perfect document, and it instantly fixes grammatical errors, punctuations, and spelling and even recommends various suggestions to improve the flow and overall clarity. Additionally, its free plan also offers limited features of its tools like AI Detector, Summarizer, Paraphraser, and Translator.
If it has become a part of your daily routine, you may switch to its premium plan, which costs USD 8.33/month (billed annually). With this, it also offers a 3-day money-back guarantee.
By unlocking its premium plan, you can access its premium grammar recommendations and advanced features of its additional tools like the summarizer, AI Detector, Paraphraser, etc. If you have a team, Quillbot has a plan for you (pricing varies as per size). Check it out here.
Like Grammarly, Quillbot has a free Chrome extension and can be integrated seamlessly with Gmail. Google Docs, MacOS apps, Word add-ins, Android keyboard and app, and several applications like Notes, Teams, Outlook, Slack, etc.
Ginger

Ginger Software is another versatile tool for grammar checks and style enhancement. Even though the free plan has certain limitations on the number of corrections, you can smoothly access it and correct grammatical errors with high accuracy and also provide context-based suggestions. I liked some of its beautiful features that made the writing process fun and effortless, such as its Text Reader feature that allowed me to hear my text read aloud and helped me identify errors. However, these features are only available in paid plans. Currently, due to discounts, it’s a good time to buy a subscription.
So, there are 5 options in paid plans. Currently, with a 50% promo code, it is the best time to buy its subscription. If you are comfortable with monthly billing, you can buy the subscription for $6.99.If you find annual billing more friendly, then it costs $4.99/month (billed annually). It even has a quarterly plan. If you find it more convenient, then you can buy it subscription at $6.99/month. For larger teams, there is a ‘Ginger Teams’ plan, which costs $4.99/user/month.
The last option is two-year billing. If you are confident enough that it can add value to your business after experimentation, then you can switch straight away to its two-year plan, which costs $3.99/month. Note that these discounted rates are subject to change and may differ according to your region; all plans come with a 7-day money guarantee.
Additionally, it offers discounts of up to 70% for educational institutions and students to provide better accessibility. Similarly, if you want a subscription for your business with a minimum of 3 users, the pricing starts at $9.99/member/month (pricing changes as per the number of users). If you wish to integrate its advanced features into your applications, Ginger API is available with customizable features. For more details, visit here.
AI paraphraser
If you are running out of time and just want to paraphrase content and use it for different collaterals, then an AI paraphraser can make your job easy in just an instant! So, many tools focus on paraphrasing, ensuring that words, context, and meaning are set in the right tone. These tools also make sure that the generated content is error-free and that the tonality matches your requirements. Let’s discover them below.
Wordtune
Wordtune is one of the effective tools to enhance the quality of the content. Whether you want to refine your text for urgent emails, blog posts, research papers, or books, then this is great to accompany you with its real-time suggestions. It has daily limits in each plan. As I used its free plan, I found out that it has many noteworthy features like contextual suggestions–this helped me refine my content as per the context, making it more relevant with better word usage.
Similar to other tools, it also has a free plan that offers 10 rewrites and AI suggestions for each day, 3 AI summarizations, unlimited grammar checks and spelling errors, etc. This is quite sufficient if you hardly have writing tasks in a day. In case you are a writer or a manager who has to shoot long and complex emails every day, then you better choose its premium plan. The good news is that you can easily try any of its paid plans for free with its 3-day trial (no credit card required). If it works for you, then it can be your winner!
If you look at its premium plan, it has many advanced features like Clarity Improvements and Vocabulary Enhancements (available in the Unlimited and Teams plans). Its basic ‘Advanced’ plan starts at $13.99/ month - billed monthly (or $6.99/ month when billed annually). To know about all plans and current discounts as per your region, visit here.
Semrush
Known for SEO, this is an all-in-one tool. From content marketing, paraphrasing, and readability checks to a comprehensive SEO toolkit, it leaves no stone unturned. Here, let’s talk about its SEO Writing Assistant, which includes a paraphrasing tool. This is one of the major features of its SEO content writing assistant. This keeps the SEO practices in mind and refines them in a way that enhances the readability and ticks off the SEO checklist.
This way, you don’t have to put in extra time to optimize your rephrased content. If writing blog posts, articles, or product descriptions, Semrush can be more effective as compared to other tools. The best feature is tone adjustment. It offers various styles like Formal, Casual, simple, improve, and summarize. However, the free plan restricts the limit to 200 words at a time and only focuses on data by Google and does not consider data from other search engines.
This tool does not have a standalone plan for accessing its advanced paraphrasing or writing tools. So, it’s wiser to take the subscription to its paid plan and take advantage of all the tools, especially SEO. The paid plan, ‘Pro,’ starts at 139.25/monthly when billed monthly ($117.33/monthly when billed annually). For detailed pricing and comparison, it is safe to check its official website and then confirm the pricing as per your region.
Ref-n-Write
Ref-n-Write is a powerful tool for academic writing. I had heard about it, so I tried it and explored its paraphrasing tool. Whether you are an educator, research student, or researcher, you wouldn’t mind adding it to your daily routine. Unlike other AI paraphrasers that might change the meaning of the sentence, this is one such software that would rewrite the sentence without changing its original meaning and maintain the exact style and tone.
It majorly focuses on enhancing the quality of theses, research papers, and even journal articles. To help you use appropriate words, it even has an Academic Phrasebank that acts like a bank of academic words that can enhance the quality of your work. It even has other tools like Translation and Bilingual Support that can help you write in one particular language and translate it into academic English.
To help you find better academic sources, it has a Reference Management tab that offers referencing and citations within Microsoft Word. There are many features that I encountered.
Unfortunately, it does not have a free plan as such. Instead, this tool offers a 15-day trial, and you need to sign up for that. Once it's ended, you will be notified in your desired email on how to upgrade to its full version (lifetime license).
This trial comes with limited features. The full version costs £29.99 (approximately USD 37.5). In this, you can access all its features and get a personal license that is valid for 2 devices (Work and Home Computer). Sharing the license code is considered a violation of the terms.
Chatbots
Chatbots have become more popular these days. They have turned dull tasks into fast and efficient ones. This has made the job easier than ever. Whether you are into corporates or other industries, you cannot afford to ignore Chatbots and make smart moves without investing more time and human effort. Here are some of them that I tried and found to be worth sharing.
ChatGPT
This is one of the famous chatbots that has taken over the internet. Introduced by OpenAI, it can ease your work within seconds. No matter how much you run away from it, you still would want to use it and maximize your productivity. The best part that has hooked me is its ability to understand the natural language so it can easily work around it and generate context-relevant responses based on the given prompts. From voice mode and file uploads to search and web-browsing features, it has proven to be an effective tool for varied purposes. Just give it a try if you haven’t yet, and see how it can serve as a stress reliever for most of your daunting work.
And yes, it is accessible on the Web, Android, iOS, and Mac (through its official desktop app), so there are plenty of opportunities that you shouldn’t miss out on and make the best use of it. However, if you are looking to get instant solutions to some complex tasks, this may not be the best option.
ChatGPT is free with some limitations and basic functionality. Advanced models like GPT-4 Turbo and features like DALL.E 3 for image creation are only accessible in paid versions. Its paid plan, ChatGPT Plus, starts at $20/month. In case you want to learn how it works on different devices, here’s a comprehensive guide.
Meta AI
Meta AI is the built-in Chatbot assistant that can be accessed across all Meta platforms like Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Messenger. I experimented to discover its features and compare it with ChatGPT. I found this one to be better in terms of real-time information and image generation.
Unlike ChatGPT, which only allows generating images through its standalone applications, Meta AI is like an all-in-one type of chatbot that directly generates images in the same chat and can be integrated quickly with social media platforms. Where ChatGPT offers paid versions to access its advanced features and models, Meta AI is currently free of cost and even allows users to talk to various AI personas to provide a more personalized and engaging experience.
Even though ChatGPT has a command over reasoning and writing capabilities, especially in terms of long-form content, and offers APIs for business integration, Meta AI is still a preferable chatbot that can easily be accessed while scrolling social media itself.
Claude
Claude is one such AI assistant that is developed to cater to tasks like coding, writing, research, and even problem-solving. It provides multilingual support and can cater to an array of topics, perform basic tasks, and summarize texts. The 30-day free trial has daily interaction limits. There is no fixed limit.
The limitation on the number of messages to be sent each day varies as per the demand. It will notify you once your free trial is over. Honestly, I found this a little chaotic. You never know when the free trial will say goodbye to you! Besides that, the free version offers basic content generation, limited pre-set personas for customization with occasional ads, and no integrations with Slack, Google Docs, etc.
Whereas, if you look at its paid plans, it allows for unlimited messages, integrations (only available in Enterprise and Teams plan), priority access during peak hours, additional Claude models, accessibility to Claude 3.7 Sonnet with extended thinking mode, and a lot more. Its pro plan starts at $20/month + tax when billed monthly ($18/month + tax when billed annually at $216). To learn more about plans, visit its official website.
AI audio and music editors
Just like a film without songs and audio sounds boring, the digital world is incomplete without audio and music. Adding them to a video looks easy, but the backend process –selecting, editing, and mixing consumes hours and even days. If you are into music composition, sound design, or editing, these AI tools will take the weight off your shoulders.
Adobe Audition
Adobe, being one of the most reliable tools for design and video editing, has launched Audition with powerful professional-grade features. If you are into podcasting, media production, or sound design, watch out here! From audio mixing, multitrack editing, and noise reduction to batch processing and smooth integration with Adobe Creative Cloud, its free trial has layered many opportunities with valuable offerings.
You can experience this before committing to a paid subscription. One of the interesting things that kicked in is that it offers a 7-day free trial for individuals and students/teachers, and for businesses, it offers an extended free trial of 14 days. After the free trial ends, if you want to buy a subscription, there are two ways if you are an individual user.
You get the option to subscribe to its single plan (costs $20.99/month - billed annually) or buy a subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud (in which you can access other applications like Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.). To subscribe to its Creative Cloud All Apps, it will cost you $54.99/month.
In case you are a business owner and want to buy its subscription, there are 3 plans - Creative Cloud Single App for Teams (costs US$23.99/month per license, billed annually), Creative Cloud All Apps for Teams (costs US$89.99/month per license, billed annually) and Creative Cloud for Enterprise (recommended for larger businesses, customized pricing as per the number of users).
Alternatively, if you are a student or a teacher, the subscription plan to Creative Cloud All Apps Plan is $19.99/month (billed annually) for the 1st year, and then it costs $29.99/month (billed annually at $359.58). Note that valid ID proofs of students and teachers are required to access this version.
Audacity
This is open-source software for audio and video editing. This tool has many features for professionals, especially musicians, podcasters, audio engineers, etc. Since it is open-source, anybody can download and access it on Windows, Mac, GNU/Linux, and other popular operating systems.
Besides this, it has features like Spectrogram and Analysis tools for advanced audio editing and visualization. For better export quality, it supports WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG files, etc. For better production, it also supports a variety of third-party plugins and a lot more.
Since it is open-source, it is completely free. For paid plugins and better effects, you can even explore its paid add-ons from Muse FX and Audacity Store. This is fully optional and can be accessed at your convenience (no forced upgrades). Mostly, I think free is more than enough to work on creative projects.
Ocenaudio
This is also one of the free software for audio editing. I liked how lightweight and user-friendly it is while being efficient at sound processing and real-time audio editing. It has built-in effects such as compression, equalization, and reverb and even supports third-party VST plugins, which I really admire. (Many plugins are free, while some can be paid). The icing on the cake is the fact that it requires minimal system resources and can be smoothly used even on older versions of computers and PCs.
Similar to Audacity, Ocenaudio can be accessed across different platforms like Linux, Windows, and Mac and supports multiple export files like MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, and AAC files.
Besides that, it has many advanced features like spectrogram views to analyze sound frequencies quickly, noise reduction and audio cleanup (not as advanced as Adobe Audition), and the list continues. Overall, I found this tool to be a gem for all professional sound or audio editors who want to access advanced tools without any financial investment.

AI Project and task managers
Project management looks easy on the outside, but only these managers know how frustrating it gets every day. AI has entered this space to ease your workload and complete your daunting tasks without burning the candles at both ends.
As the digital world is evolving, there are many powerful AI tools that you can’t miss out on! I have tested some of them; let’s dive into each.
Asana
This is one of the most effective project management tools that I have been hearing about for years. So, I tried this one, and it is quite appealing. It performs tasks like progress tracking, deadlines management, task assignments, and overall project handling.
As it is designed for managing projects, I liked how it can seamlessly integrate with Google Drive, Slack, Salesforce, and Dropbox and seamlessly work on mobile and desktop. It has a free plan, which is fair enough for personal projects or small teams (up to 10 teammates).
It includes unlimited tasks, messages, projects, and activity logs with unlimited file storage (100MB/file) and 100+ free integrations. It also provides access to calendar views, board, and list features.
If you have a larger team or are working on a complex project, then purchasing its premium plan would be a better option. These plans include features like workflow builder, project dashboards, advanced search, custom project templates, etc. The ‘Starter’ plan costs $10.99/month/ user - billed annually (if you are more familiar with monthly payments, then it costs $13.49/month). This plan is ideal for teams having up to 500 members.
There is also an ‘Advanced’ plan for more features. To know the benefits and pricing of these plans, visit here. In case you want to use it for a large enterprise and advanced features, there are two plans - Enterprise and Enterprise + (custom pricing).
Trello
Trello is one of the most flexible project management tools that comes with a compelling board-based system. With this, you can easily organize your daily tasks, collaborate with your team members smoothly, and even manage different projects all under one umbrella.
The interesting features that I enjoyed are its Kanban-style workflow for clear task tracking, drag-and-drop boards and cards, and customizable features to set up checklists, labels, and even due dates. Its free plan includes unlimited cards, unlimited storage (10 MB/file), 250 workspace command runs per month, up to 10 boards for each workspace, and a lot more. This is sufficient, I guess, if you have small teams. Similar to other project management tools, even this can be seamlessly integrated with Google Drive, Slack, etc.
But, if you have large teams, then it’s preferable to buy a subscription to its premium plans. Its ‘Standard’ plan starts at $5/month/user if billed annually (or $6/month/user when billed monthly). Then, it has a premium plan that costs $10/month/user if billed annually (or $12.50/month/user when billed monthly).
This even offers a free trial of 14 days to test the platform (no credit card is required to sign up). If you want to go one step ahead and buy a subscription for an entire corporation, then you can go for its Enterprise plan (custom pricing). To compare the benefits and pricing of all plans as per your region, visit its official website.
ClickUp
Similar to Trello, ClickUp also has a Kanban board and can be integrated with professional spaces like Zoom, Slack, and Google Drive. I liked how its free plan is free for eternity with 100MB storage, unlimited tasks and members, collaborative docs and whiteboards, sprint management, basic Custom Field Manager, in-app video recording, etc. To me, this feels like a magical bliss!
In case you have a small team and want to access advanced features in a small number then you can look for its ‘Unlimited plan’, which costs $7/month/user - billed monthly. If you are a mid-size firm, then you can choose its ‘Business’ plan. This costs $12/month/user. Or if you are a large corporation, then the ‘Enterprise’ plan would serve you better. Here, you can get a custom demo and get custom pricing. For a better comparison of benefits, check its official website.
AI social media planners and schedulers
Social media marketing is a game-changer in today’s business world. Organically, it can help businesses to achieve par excellence. This is where social media planners and schedulers come into the process to ensure that creatives are posted on consistent timelines.
To ensure that your social media managers do not scratch their heads while handling multiple social media accounts, there are many AI-based planners to plan and schedule posts without any hassle. Let’s closely glance through some of them.
SocialBee
I tried many tools and found SocialBee to be one of the interesting ones due to its features like category-based scheduling, RSS feed automation, hashtag collection, post recycling, and approval workflows. It supports not only marketers but also various agencies and businesses to optimize their content strategy.
I was amazed to see that it goes beyond scheduling and planning social media strategy—it covers everything from engagement growth, content marketing, article writing, website creation, and even acquisition and amplification with certified experts. It has an AI assistant to create a customized social media strategy and integrates well with various tools like Canva, Unsplash, Bitly, Pocket, etc., for varied purposes.
SocialBee can assist you with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and even Google My Business. With such interesting yet valuable features, it is no surprise to the fact that it does not offer any free plan.
Instead, it has a 14-day free trial (no credit card required for sign-up) and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Once your team is well-versed with its features, you can switch to its premium plans—Standard and Agency.
If you are a sole marketer or have a small team, I would say the standard plan would be perfect for you. It starts at $29/month (Bootstrap plan), or if you want a yearly plan, then you can avail of its 16% discount and get it at $290/year (this is approximately $24.17/month).
Similarly, if you are an agency owner, you can choose any of the agency plans. It starts at $179/month (Pro50 plan). With a 16% discount on its yearly plan, you can even look for $1790/year (which is approximately $149.17/month). To get more details, visit here.
Publer
Like SocialBee, Publer performs all the activities from planning, scheduling, and analyzing social media content across multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. It even assists content creators on YouTube, WordPress, and Telegram. Some of its ‘wow’ features are bulk scheduling and watermarking (only available in the paid plan).
It integrates with design tools such as VistaCreate and Canva and has many collaborative tools for teams. Unlike SocialBee, it has a free plan that supports up to 3 social accounts (except X/Twitter), schedules 10 posts per account, provides 1 workspace for 1 user, and even offers free trials on paid features (without subscribing to it) and a lot more. This sounds pretty simple and intriguing, right?
However, if you want to schedule unlimited posts and drafts with eternal post history, unlimited workspaces and media space, and a lot more, then before subscribing to its paid plans, you can even try them. Yes, you heard it right! You get a 7-day free trial for its ‘Professional plan’ (costs $4/month billed yearly for 1 social account and 2 months free) and a 14-day free trial for its ‘Business plan’ (costs $8/month billed yearly for 1 social account and 2 months free). It also has a monthly plan; you can check on its official website. Honestly, this yearly plan is far better.
After the trial, if you feel that it is adding value to your business, then you can consider purchasing it. If you are a large business, you can even look up to its ‘Enterprise’ plan with custom pricing. Remember, the pricing changes according to the number of social media accounts you wish to handle. To calculate that, check here.
Buffer
Buffer is a simple tool for scheduling and performing analytics for social media. It also supports major platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and even Mastodon. If you are a beginner and want to automate your tasks quickly, this is absolutely a great platform.
You can schedule posts, track progress, engage the audience, and even generate AI-based content. This would even ease the load of professionals too. When it comes to features of its free plan, which is forever free, let me tell you it offers one of the best deals. It allows you to connect up to 3 channels, schedule 10 posts per channel (this can be refilled anytime), 100 ideas to boost engagement and creativity, basic analytics, and AI assistant with 1 user account.
In case you have a bigger team, you can opt for a 14-day free trial of its paid plans. It allows for unlimited post-scheduling for each channel, advanced analytics, an engaged inbox, a hashtag manager, etc.
The ‘Essentials’ plan costs $6/month (billed annually), and the ‘Team’ plan costs $12/month (billed annually). If you require more than 10 channels with the ‘Team’ plan, you can get that too by contacting them. For more details related to pricing and benefits, click here.
AI meeting schedulers
Meetings can be hectic. Sometimes, it drains to an extent that we might even forget that anything is lined up in a row. To keep up with the everyday pace and daily schedule, AI has made corporate life easier with its automated meeting schedulers that can take charge of your online meetings and perform all the related activities. Come, let’s have a look at some of them.
Reclaim.AI
Reclaim AI is one of the smartest tools for scheduling meetings. It automates task scheduling, breaks, habits, and of course, meetings. It even has a time-blocking feature that you can set for your intense work or a much-needed break. In case you miss your important meetings, it has a meeting rescheduling feature that quickly reschedules it before you lose your potential project (even though it does not guarantee that it will reschedule automatically after a meeting is missed). And yes, it integrates well with Google Calendar, Zoom, Slack, Asana, etc.
It offers a free plan with limited features like a 3-week scheduling range, unlimited time tracking, limited integrations, up to 3 habit settings, etc. Then come the ‘Starter’ and ‘Business’ plans. You can even try these with its 14-day free trial round (no subscription required). After the trial ends, if you are a small team, then the ‘Starter’ plan would be more valuable.
It costs $10/seat/month (for yearly billing, it will cost you $8/seat/month). If you have a large business, then opting for a ‘Business’ plan would be a viable option. It costs $15/seat/month (for yearly billing, it will be a bit cheaper, $12/seat/month). For enterprise-grade support, it has an ‘Enterprise’ plan, which costs $18/seat/month (billed yearly) for over 100 seats with next-level features like People Analytics, a 12-week scheduling range, Delegated access, etc.
Calendly
Calendly is one of the top automation platforms for scheduling meetings. I liked how it allows the flexibility to create personalized booking links and invites as per your available time slots. This integrates with various tools like Zoom, Salesforce, HubSpot, and even Google Calendar, iCloud, and Outlook (depending on the plan you choose). This is so cool to synchronize real-time updates and avoid double booking. It customizes various events sets proper duration, and even automates reminders to invitees.
For personal use, its free plan can be a good option. It includes basic features like video conferencing, a customized booking page, the ability to connect 1 calendar, etc. For small teams and professionals, it's Standard’ plan can be helpful (costs $10/seat/month when billed yearly or $12/seat/month for monthly billing). For a growing business, the ‘Teams’ plan would be a better plan, which costs $16/seat/month (when billed yearly) or $20/seat/month (when billed monthly).
You can even try its 14-day free trial plan and see if it suits your needs. (If you are a new user, you will get this trial version as you sign up, so you can easily access the premium features initially). In case you have a large company, it also offers an ‘Enterprise’ plan, which starts at $15k/year.
Clockwise
Similar to Reclaim AI, I found Clockwise to be a nice option for scheduling online meetings. Currently, it is available in beta for Microsoft Outlook users and seamlessly integrates more preferably with Google Calendar.
This beta phase simply means that Microsoft users can only access some functionalities, and there is room for occasional issues with user experience. During this beta period, Microsoft users can only access the Free and Teams plans, and functions of other plans— Business and Enterprise can vary.
Its free plan includes task scheduling with unlimited clockwise scheduling links, automation for tasks and routines, and a lot more. On the other hand, its premium plan, ‘Teams,’ costs $6.75/user/month (billed annually). It includes advanced features like auto-scheduled focus time, group scheduling links, etc.
In case you have a large organization and want to automate entire calendar management, then it's the ‘Business’ plan ($11.50/user/month—billed annually) or the ‘Enterprise’ plan (custom pricing) to access some over-the-top features like SCIM provisioning, custom data processing, advanced analytics, etc. As Clockwise is still expanding, it is always better to check its official website for the latest updates and plans.

AI coding assistants
As many new businesses are in progress, developers need to buckle up with their speed and better coding skills. To help them stay ahead and complete multiple projects without worrying about human error, AI coding assistants are truly a gem for them.
These tools not only improve the code quality but also provide real-time code suggestions, automate daunting tasks, and a lot more. Let’s have a look at some of them.
Qodo
Formerly known as Codium, I liked Qodo, which can easily assist your developer in performing tasks like writing, testing, and reviewing code by integrating directly with IDEs and Git platforms. Some of its features are really amazing, such as the Qodo Merge to automate the creation of pull request descriptions and guides, Qodo Cover to generate and validate content-based regression tests, and Qodo Gen to enhance code reliability and coverage.
If you are the sole developer, then the free plan (Developer plan) is quite sufficient, I think. It includes features like Qodo Merge (open-source and trial versions), Qodo Gen with full repository indexing, Agentic Mode, Code review, etc. You can easily install it via JetBrains or VS Code by downloading the Qodo AI extension from JetBrains Plugin Marketplace or VS Code Marketplace. To learn more about it, visit its official website.
In case you have a proper team and want to optimize coding for better collaboration, then the Teams plan is more suitable. It offers better collaboration tools and improved security and costs $15/user/month when billed annually (or $19/user/month when billed monthly). It even offers a 14-day free trial to experiment with it.
Alternatively, if you are looking for an all-in-one intelligent coding platform, then they also offer its ‘Enterprise’ plan. This plan offers multi-repository support, advanced analytics, self-hosted Deepseek-R1, and much more. Its pricing starts at $45/user/month. To learn more about it, you need to contact them.
AskCodi
I tested AskCodi and found it to be efficient enough to perform tasks like code generation, refactoring, language translation, debugging, and unit test creation. Many such features can ease your workload as a developer and simply automate them. Like Qodo, even this tool integrates with trusted IDEs such as JetBrains and VS Code and makes it easy to manage multiple workflows. Besides that, it even offers intelligent code documentation to make clearer code and structures.
At present, it has discontinued its free plan, Instead, it offers a 7-day free trial. This is a great way to explore them and see if it is worth the investment.
If you think it can be beneficial for developers, then you can look for its paid plans: Premium ($149.99/year or $14.99/month) or Ultimate ($349.99/year or $34.99/month). These plans offer advanced features like unlimited usage, access to autocomplete plugins and extensions and a lot more. To get detailed information, you must check its official website.
Creating an AI-powered future for the next generations
In the end, after testing multiple AI tools for varied purposes, I am confident enough to speak and make a statement about it. Yes, many AI tools are not so valuable, but in the journey, I encountered and enjoyed some of the listed tools that are bridging the gap between the present and future with subtle yet powerful capabilities in varied business areas.
